Tag You're It!

so, i guess i have been tagged! it has taken me awhile to get to this post...i have been dragging my feet on this one for the last week or so. so, here goes...

3 FEARS: 1) my husband or children developing some horrid illness/cancer. 2)having to write a masters thesis or some other big "paper." i have a huge fear of writing! 3) someone breaking into the house while matt is out of town...i always think i am hearing someone trying to break into the house. i don't know why i worry about this, considering i grew up in a house where we never even locked the doors. in fact, i don't think anybody even had a key to the house.

3 OBSESSIONS: 1) exercise. i can not live/function without it. this whole cast on the ankle has really made me a crazy person! fortunately, you can bike with a cast on your ankle. i have had to alter my workout schedule, but have nowhere near abandoned the workouts! 2) a clean house! i love a clean organized house! not that i have one, i just always want one. i work towards it...but never seem to quite get there! 3) photography! it is a great escape!

3 INTERESTING FACTS (but not really): 1) i love super heroes! i love the spiderman movies, batman etc...i love good vs. evil! 2) when i was 9, i had a huge love for charlie's angels. i use to play it all the time with my friends. i even had a cap gun that i carried in my purse, until a boy found it and made fun of me! 3) i graduated in health education and spent some time teaching an abstinence based sex education program to 6th-7th graders in san diego. i later tried to get the program adopted by the utah board of education and was completely shot down...it is sooo political there! huge lesson learned!

anyway because of my obsession with photography, i can not leave a post without a picture!

Preschool Fun

here are a few pictures from chase's preschool class. i work in the class once a week. so, i have a pretty good idea of what goes on in there. all i can say is "wow"! it is amazing to see what michelle can get these kids to do.

this picture is from teddy bear pic-nic day. all the kids put their bear on the parachute and try to bounce them off. all the kids, except chase loved this! unfortunatley, chase had a not so good experience with the parachute in nursery, and now chooses to go no where near them!

after our pic-nic, we came back inside...and so did a little "rolly polly." can you see the little ball in the hand?

and of course my cutie bug!

the halloween/fall decorations are up, the fall candles are burning, now all we need is some fall weather! too bad so. cal doesn't get much of a "fall". might just have to take a trip to the mountains to see the changing leaves!

Sweet, Giggly, and Fun

i recently heard about a great place to photograph, and thought i'd check it out.

these cute girls were so much fun to work with, and willing to try anything!

this place is absolutely amazing. i will be doing some holiday mini-sessions here in the near future. we might even start to see some leaves change...i love the fall!

The Lone JEDI

"won't somebody come and play, with me?"

this poor jedi is so cute and fun to fight with, unfortunately, big brother won't allow him to play. all the other "jedis" in the neighborhood get a kick out of dueling with him, this makes big brother a little jealous. so, ian takes the clan of jedis to the other side of the street leaving little jedi all alone.

anybody remember the song i was quoting above?

Another baby....

i got another shot at photographing a newborn. it was great! this baby let me put her in any position we wanted. she was soo good. why couldn't i ever get a baby like this?

my ankle is finally starting to feel a little better. i still have the cast for another 1.5 wks though. i wonder how long before i can run....

Chase-Man

today was chase's first day of pre-school! i couldn't pick just

one picture...chase is the man of a 1,000 faces. so, i thought this would be a pretty good representation of what our shoot together was like.

chase loved his first day of school, and can't wait to go back. but isn't that how it is for all the kids who go to miss michelle's? she is the best!

Tears and Cheers

so last week, while out for a run, i managed to brake my ankle. (i am now sporting a lovely gray cast.) it hurt really bad!(tears) and no, i do not carry a cell phone with me when i run. so, i then had to walk/hobble/crawl the next 1/2 mile back to my car. i am fine physically, mentally i am dying....i need a run in a bad way. i haven't quite been able to do all the things i like/need to do, but when i heard about a couple of new babies that had been born, i couldn't resist the opportunity to photograph them! (cheers)

so, here are a couple shots from earlier today!

i have to admit that my broken ankle did make shooting a little difficult. but this baby was soooo good and cooperative. i could not believe it. what a cutie he is!
