Tears and Cheers

so last week, while out for a run, i managed to brake my ankle. (i am now sporting a lovely gray cast.) it hurt really bad!(tears) and no, i do not carry a cell phone with me when i run. so, i then had to walk/hobble/crawl the next 1/2 mile back to my car. i am fine physically, mentally i am dying....i need a run in a bad way. i haven't quite been able to do all the things i like/need to do, but when i heard about a couple of new babies that had been born, i couldn't resist the opportunity to photograph them! (cheers)

so, here are a couple shots from earlier today!

i have to admit that my broken ankle did make shooting a little difficult. but this baby was soooo good and cooperative. i could not believe it. what a cutie he is!

have a great labor day weekend!

Star Wars...

I am a big Star Wars junkie. I remember my uncle taking me to see the first movie for my birthday (i will leave out which birthday.) I loved it! My brothers were so into Star Wars. We had all the toys, dress up clothes, the bedding, and even the cake pans. (My mom can make a killer R2-D2 cake.)

So now, I have three boys, all who have at sometime been extremely Star Wars crazy. My youngest two still are. Last year, I was on a hunt to find Star Wars bedding. But I wanted the classic style bedding, just like my brothers had. (and matt and his brothers) I had no luck, until now! Thank you Pottery Barn Kids! I can't believe it has taken them this long, but if anybody was to bring back the classic sheeting etc...it would be them! So, if you have a Star Wars
nut at your house check out PB Kids...Christmas is just around the corner!

Christmas Cards Teaser

So here are two examples of Christmas cards that I will be offering this year.
The first is a single card that you can print yourself anywhere.
The second two pictures featured are actually part of a double sided card that I would have printed for you. (They are both 5x7) I am working on putting some more together.
So stay tuned!

First Day of School

Well we survived the first day of school, the lunch packing, getting dressed, brushing teeth, making beds etc.. all before 8:40a.m. I think getting all your kids ready for school on time should be an Olympic sport.
Anyway, they all had a great day. I am so sad and yet so excited at the same time for Alec. I can't believe he is in High School! (how old am I?) He loved his classes, for the most part, and found kids he knew in almost every one of them! We look forward to a great year!
Here's a few (a few for me anyway) pictures of the first day.

Chase will be showcased in a few weeks, when he starts preschool with the Incredible Miss Michelle!

Last day of Summer...

So, it is the night before the first day of school. I finally got the kids in bed. I had forgotten how much work it really is to get the kids bathed, teeth brushed, etc.. all before 9:00p.m. How important is school? Does it really need to begin at 8:58 a.m. and go until 3:22p.m.?

Anyway, here are a few shots from our last day of summer at the beach. Of course, I couldn't get Alec to come...after all he is 14 now, why hang with the family?

Lexie ended her last day of summer with a little party at the house. I would of shared some photos of that, but I shot those at the wrong settings...

We'll see what tomorrow brings....

Phantom of the Opera

Lexie and I went to see Phantom of the Opera (in San Diego) in July. It was absolutely wonderful! I think Lexie liked Wicked a little more, but I think that was only because it is a little more kid friendly.

I am thinking about ....

THE HOLIDAYS!
School starts in just a few days. I can't help but get excited for the holidays, once the kids go back. My mother loved the holidays, and always made them spectacular for us! She decorated like crazy, baked way too much etc...and I loved every minute of it!
Sooo, I have begun working on some fabulous Christmas cards. They are so great! I know most of you have not even gone there yet...but you will eventually! I will be posting some samples of these cards soon! So stay tuned. I have been so excited about these cards I just had to post a little something about them.
