my lucky stars...

so here we are reaching the end of the school year. which means we are being overloaded with recitals, plays, parties etc...here's a few pics from the kids recent end the year activities. lexie had a dance recital, ian was in play and had a special hoe-down day, and chase had his pre-school program. they all did so wonderfully. alec is having end of the year stuff as well, like a tennis banquet and a yearbook staff banquet. however, he doesn't welcome the pictures so much. he also finished his first year of seminary. he mastered all 25 scriptures. we are so proud of him. memorizing those scriptures is a lot of work!

only about one more week of school left...

Princess Leia

this is our princess leia. she is my youngest brother's little girl. we had such a fun time with her at the last family gathering. we don't get to see her too often :-( anyway, she is so full of personality and so mature. i had the hardest time believing she is only a few months older than chase, i guess it's because she's a girl. which is exactly why lexie had so much fun with her. leia thought lexie was the best, and quickly became lexie's little shadow. lexie thought this was pretty grand! we don't have many girl cousins, so when one comes along, lexie is more than happy!

this cute little boy is one of my other sons, he he he! he lives across the street and my family just loves him! actually we just love all of them, they're family to us. anyway, he had his 3'd b-day last month, and we are just now getting around to getting some cute pictures of him! there were so many cute ones, it was hard to choose which to post. so here are a few....

happy birthday lexie!

i just love this little girl! she really is amazing. it has been such a difficult year health wise. she is finally getting some decent mobility in her foot and is even doing a little dancing again. no tap shoes yet though....i am sure it won't be too much longer. i love her persistance and desire to always do her best. she is always finding new ways to challenge herself. whatever lexie sets out to do, she does it well! we love you lex! you are a great example to us all!

happy birthday alec!

this is one amazing kid/teenager! he really is one talented individual. i love his desire to learn, patience, and his compassion! last year he spent a lot of time learning how to make a website, and created a fabulous community religions site for his eagle project. (he has it closed to the public at this time for some repairs. i will have to post the link at another time.)
and here are some pictures of what alec has been doing the past few months. i had no idea the kid even liked tennis. he has done extremely well. we are so proud of him!

33 school days left .....

until summer! well, at least this is what i heard today from lexie. i know the kids are definitely starting to feel the itch for summer, especially those seniors. i thought i'd share a few photos from a senior i photographed last week.
