little miracles

what a pleasure it was to photograph this little guy. he is almost a month old. i usually like to get these little ones when they are less than 1 week old. however, this little guy spent his first few weeks of life in the hospital. you can read his amazing story here!

hold on tight...they grow up way too fast!

some freezing cold fun!

one of our last days of our vacation we hit brianhead to do some tubing. when we got there, it was 16 degrees. can you say cold???? anyway, we came prepared and layered up all the kids. however, in the first five minutes that chase was in the snow one of his gloves fell off. that was it for him. he wanted nothing else to do with the snow, and sat in the truck and watched a movie. he was happy though when i got him some hot chocolate.

here's ian headed back up the hill for another run!

lexie was amazing out there! we wrapped her walking boot in a trash bag and she was off. she did get a lot help though. the young guys working the runs were more than willing to help her get back up. she could of stayed out there all day!

alec was really helpful too. he made sure lexie was able to make it back over to the lift.

next year we hope to hit the ski slopes. i think the kids would all love it...as long as we get some better gloves for chase!
hoppy easter everyone!

please excuse the vacation interruption for....

this beautiful little girl!
as you can probably tell, she is getting ready to be baptized. i have known this little girl since she was about 7 mo. old. where has the time gone??? isn't she just beautiful? she definitely has some artistic talent. she had her own agenda of where and how the pictures should be done. she did an amazing job don't you think?

back to regular scheduled vacation photos tomorrow!

zions national park

zion's is such an incredibly beautiful place! i couldn't believe it! anyway, we only were able to do a few hikes, the little ones were not that excited about all the walking. but the areas we did get to hike are absolutely amazing!

okay, so i am not usually a story telling person. (at least not with my blog) but there is a funny story that goes with this squirrel. the squirrels inside the park are extremely friendly. you are not suppose to feed them, but they walk right up to you and beg for food, like a dog. so all along the way we had squirrels that would come up to you and clap their hands together and beg for food...unbelievable. the kids thought this was the funniest thing, so did i!

teens & tweens

i just love these kids! they are growing up so fast and just want to freeze them. they were such a big help on our trip. they helped with the little ones whether it was entertaining them, or giving them piggy back rides when their little legs were just too tired to keep walking. a big thanks goes out to these fine youth for their examples and great behavior!

i promise to post some great pictures of the fun in southern utah next time. it has been hard to narrow down the "best ones." there are so many!

great friends and a grand canyon

our first real stop on our trip was holbrook. holbrook is a tiny town in northern az and the home of our great friends the stuarts. we were so excited to be able to make it to presley's baptism. presley and ian were born in the same hospital just 23 hrs. apart! it was great seeing all you guys, we miss you!

after we left holbrook, we headed for the grand canyon. there were a few hiccups along the way, like losing the only set of truck keys we had on us. (it is probably best i not include the details to this. lol!) but we made it through it all and we were still able to enjoy the beauty of the grand canyon. well, most of us. we had to wake up chase and drag him out to the canyon. he did not enjoy it one bit. hence the lack of pictures of him!

next up...southern utah!
