the christmas wrap-up

just thought i'd post a little about this year's christmas. i hate when christmas is over. and because of that i am terrible at writing about it. i should really do one of those journals of all the exciting events leading up to christmas...someday.
anyway, ian received a remote control plane to replace the one he got caught on the neighbors roof. unfortunately, it rained all day and he had to wait to fly it.

lexie got a motorized scooter, which she loves loves loves! she has a few friends who have one also. i figure it won't be long before we have a mob of cute girls riding up and down the streets of temecula. now all they need is a cute matching leather jacket, right?

chase got the clone voice changer. it is a little big, can you tell? i fell over laughing when he put it on. i can't help but wonder when he will take a serious spill from being so top heavy. isn't he cute?

and alec got new wheels for his go-cart. he and matt worked hard christmas day changing out the wheels. he only got a few hours of fun in on it, when the rain cleared the next day, when something else broke. i didn't even get a picture of him on it. so for now he will have to be content with matt's new acquisition.

for christmas matt won a new ps3. his company does a raffle every christmas for various gifts. in the last five years he has never won anything. his luck finally changed, and he won the big one this year! i was kinda hoping to just cash it in. however, i was informed that it plays blue-ray discs, so there is no way he is giving it up. matt and alec have had a lot of bonding time in front of the tv lately.
hope you all enjoyed your holiday...what's on the agenda for new years?

a little of this, a little of that....

thought i'd share a little of the past few days. below is a picture of my kids with my parents. i am not sure the last time i had a picture of all my kids with both my parents. i know, i am pathetic for not making a greater effort. this picture was taken late christmas eve night, after some gifts, and after a lot of sugar! they were sooo hyper, and i was so tired!

and these last two pictures are from a shoot i just did today! when i came across these two cute pictures, i knew i'd have to just sneak them in a post. how cute are these two cuties? i just love the age of two, it is by far my most favorite age.

oh, snowy day

i must give a big thanks to our great friends the serges' for letting us come and go sledding with them. we had sooo much fun! the day was absolutely beautiful, not too cold and the mountain had tons of fresh powder! the fresh snow was great for the sledding, but not so great for making a snowman. chase was really only willing to go out in the snow when he discovered the carrot that was brought to make a nose for the snowman. so, when the snowman couldn't be made, he was quite sad. thank goodness for hot chocolate, a favorite of his!
i had so much fun taking pictures of the kids playing in the snow. i think i took over 600 pictures...what was i thinking??? here are a few that i have edited so far.

thanks to those who helped outfit us for the snow. we don't really have snow gear. but after this great adventure, i think it is time to invest in some! we definitely need to go back to the snow. this little trip helped us feel the spirit of the season a little more. it was nice to get away and spend time with friends and family! hope you are all starting to feel the spirit of the season!

a preschool christmas

so, today was chase's christmas program for preschool. i must say i was pleasantly surprised. the kids have been practicing for this program for awhile. and chase almost never participates. i thought for sure he would flat out refuse to join his classmates in their singing and dancing, but he did it! he can be such a stubborn stinker-pot sometimes, at least he's a cute one!

this is about as close as chase will get to a santa clause. i was actually amazed that he would even go near him. i think we scarred him years ago when we threw him into the arms of a santa, hoping for a great picture. it sounded like a good idea at the time. by the time he is over his fears of a santa, he'll be too old for me to take a picture of him sitting on his lap without it looking creepy..he he he!
merry christmas!

resurfacing....

ahhh, i think i am finally coming up for air! what a month it has been. i have spent the last week getting ready and doing the nativity festival. it was amazing for those of you unable to attend. i can not believe i did not take pictures. well, i guess i can. i was so busy doing everything for it, that photography was definitely on the back burner. but we did have over 4,000 people attend. i would have to say it was a success.
so, i thought i would post a few of my favorites from the season. it was great fun working with all these wonderful families and creating such fun holiday greeting cards.

i hope you are all enjoying this wonderful season. i am so grateful for all that i have, especially for my friends and family!

merry christmas drake and josh...

while driving home in the car....
lexie: oooh ian, did you toot (fart)?
ian: no!
lexie: ian, i know you did!
ian: i didn't, i even "christmas promise!"
a big thanks to drake and josh. for those of you unfamiliar with drake and josh, it is a show on nickelodeon that my kids love.
i just love this kid!

thanksgiving day...

Alec certainly has a lot to be thankful for. this go-cart definitly tops the list. i work hard all morning to get everything and everybody ready for thanksgiving dinner. i walk outside to get something, and this is what i find! these two boys must have gone through every mudd puddle they could find. alec couldn't have been happier.

the next two pictures are of the twins...how exhausting it must be to chase these little rug rats all day long! aren't they cute?

and lastley, a picture of all six of us. it has been a long time since all six of us have been together for a holiday.

hope you all enjoyed your thanksgiving with friends and families! i have been crazy busy editing pictures lately. hopefully, i can post some of my favorites soon!
