Dance Festival

Dance Festival...What an experience! We just have to thank so many people who worked so hard for so long...Michelle, Jeni and so many others. They really gave it their all to make this wonderful event happen for our spectacular youth. I am
sure this is something these kids will never forget, they too have worked hard for this!
So, here's a few pictures from "back stage" opening night. The first few (with my terrific son Alec) are of the Cha Cha group (teachers/mia maids.)

Here's a few of our lovely beehives! They did a cute dance to Hairspray!

And some pictures of our highly energized deacons, who did a dance to "Getcha head in the Game." They did this dance using basketballs...Just imagine a bunch of deacons learning a dance that involves a basketball. I still feel bad for the women who had to teach this dance!

This is a not so good picture of the youth running onto the field for the opening number.

And a picture of the Cha Cha..a personal favorite. They really did look good out there!

If you got a chance the see the show, hope you enjoyed it as much as we did!

Beach Bums

Nothing says summer like a day at the beach! We had a great time hanging with our friends and trying to cool off.

I forgot to bring my camera with me to the beach...imagine that. Thanks to Naomi for letting me use hers. Looks like I over did it a bit on the sharpening, little crispy... better than blurry, right?
Hope everyone is enjoying their summer, not much of it left!
Thanks for stopping by!

Sno-cones and Go-Carts

Here are some pictures of my older two trying to keep entertained during the summer. Lexie did a sno-cone sale...

A few pictures of the satisfied (repeat) customers.

And here is Alec doing what he craves most...riding our neighbor's go-cart! Go-cart riding is all Alec can think about anymore, he is currently trying to figure out how he can get his own..good luck with that one!

Happy Summer Everyone!

Summer Fun

We had a few extra kids over the other day, so we decided to make it a fun water day. We had the little pool for the little kids, spray bottles, the hose, and course water balloons to make the slightly older kids happy!

I knew I could never keep up on my own trying to tie water balloons for these boys, so I enlisted some help...thanks Lexie.

However, when they nailed there super sweet water balloon helper they had to quickly learn how to tie their own ammo!

Here's a few pictures of the boys trying to figure it out. Once they did, it was so worth it!

All in all I think they had a great time! Hope your summer is going well!

Tutu Fun!

This is my neighbor's niece! Isn't she just sooo adorable? I called my neighbor begging her to let me shoot her niece in this tutu. A friend of mine recently opened a dancewear/costume shop for kids and babies, KIDZILLA. They have the cutest stuff in there. I saw this tutu, and knew I had to have it. If you get a chance, check out her store, the stuff in there (for boys and girls) is soo stink'n cute!

She was the girl of million faces! I didn't even have to try to get her to ham it up. Don't you just love her tongue sticking out here! My neighbor said she was animated, she wasn't kidding.

Have a great day! Someday, I will figure out how to keep blogspot from trashing my colors. I know there is way...That will truely be a great day for me!

Cutie Pies

These cute little kids below are my niece and nephew. My brother's little boy, Adrian, and my (favorite) sister's little girl, Brooklyn. Brooklyn has so many funny facial expressions I couldn't stop laughing while shooting. And Adrian is the sweetest little boy. He is so good natured, can't you just tell? Not hard at all to get a smile or ten from him!

As always, thanks for stopping by! Have a great day!

Fantastic Family

A big thanks to my sister-in-law and her family! This is where I got to stay when I went to my workshop in April. My sister-in-law Kris, is an amazingly talented person. She is very creative, and I am grateful that she lets me pick her brain as much as I do!
Right before I headed back to the airport in April, we headed out to old town Gilbert and did a quick family shoot. This is really the only "family" shoot I have done. So much fun! Thanks again Kris for all your help with everything!
